Life Update!
Hello!
I hope you all are doing well and having a great end of the summer! This summer was really nice and went really fast. I cannot believe where the time as gone. It feels like now that I am not in school that the months just go by fast. I hope to hear about each of your summers and find out all the fun adventures you guys took. My summer was spent learning a new job and moving. Which is why I have been MIA lately. One of these days, I will be on top of posting and stay consistent. :)
Back in April, I accepted a new position at a cardiology clinic and get to be the a clinic manager. God has blessed me with this new job. This job has taught me so much about cardiology but also how to have patience (which I struggle with). Sometimes, I struggle with remembering that God put me here for a reason. Whatever that reason is, I just need to trust in God that He has me. With this job, I am working from home while the clinic is getting up and running. This has been a blessing as well! Who knew working from home would allow me to do things that I couldn’t do before, like laundry! Working from home has definitely taught me that I can be very lazy and I need to keep a routine and get off my butt. I look forward to what God has instore for me in this job. I look forward to all the skills I will learn too.
I moved homes! I moved into a townhouse in my hometown and it has been wonderful. The moving process was not an easy process, let me tell you. For those who didn’t know, I didn’t live in the safest neighborhood and I was looking to move somewhere safer. The new place feels very homey and feels secure. I am very blessed and thankful for God opening this door for me. I am in the middle of decorating which is always the fun part. I want this new place to be peaceful and happy. I have found these cute neutral tone, abstract Christian art to hang throughout the house but I figured while I am saving for that, I can use what I already have. It’s turning out to be a floral theme place right now. I moved from a fairly big house (for one person) to a smaller townhouse place. I had to downsize a lot and get used to the smaller living quarters. It’s not that bad.
For those who want to know, Ella (my cat) is still adjusting to the new place. There are a lot more smells and its hardwood floors. She is starting to find her spots but she is still getting settled. She does in fact love that I work from home right now. She has enjoyed snuggling with me while we watch tv or while I work at the computer. I don’t know if it’s just Ella or all cats but she loves the noise of my keyboards. As soon as I start typing, she comes around the corner to sit on it. :) When I go back to normal office hours, I don’t know if I can handle being away from her for 8 hours a day. I don’t know how I did it before.
Another exciting news, my family got a new puppy! She is the cutest thing ever! She is a bulldog/shar pei mix. We have had majority lab type dogs growing up, but my parents wanted something different. Her name is Luna. Luna has the cutest winkles. I go and visit quite often and she is so much bigger every time I visit. My parents have a catahoula lab mix (Allie). She is a big dog, and Luna is so tiny compared to her but it’s been fun to watch them play. Molly (our late old lady) passed and Allie became depressed and wasn’t doing much but lay around and follow the family around the house. When we got Luna, they started to play and run around and it has been the coolest thing to watch.
I hope you have exciting, adventure stories from your summer. I hope that you are doing well physically, mentally, and emotionally. Now that we are transitioning from summer to fall, I think it’s a great time to check in with everyone and see how they are doing. I am always here to pray, listen, and talk with you! You can always do that by reaching out through “Contact Me” or my Facebook page. Love you all!
